Free health check up

As part of their CSR initiative, iCARE Clinics is holding free health checkups daily during Ramadan which includes testing blood sugar, blood pressure and BMI.

In addition to the daily free 3B tests, iCARE Clinics also offers discounts on other check-ups like Lipid, Vitamin D tests and a 50 percent discount on iCARE’s Wellness Packages every Wednesday. All of these tests and offers are available in all six iCARE Clinic branches across Dubai.

This CSR initiative from iCARE aims to raise awareness on the essential health factors associated with these three tests, especially during the month of Ramadan.

Time: 9:00am to 11:00pm

Locations: Oasis Center, Uptown Mirdiff, Discovery Gardens, Al Barsha 1, Lamcy Plaza, Al Qusais.

Free eye, health check-up

The 5th edition of Ramadan Night Market – at Za’abeel Hall 5, Dubai World Trade Center – is offering free health check-ups and eye tests at the venue. The event, on until July 2, will have a team from the Canadian Specialist Hospital offering free tests for blood sugar, blood pressure and BMI test. Max Vision LLC will conduct free vision tests. Complimentary consultation regarding health improvement will also be offered.

The market will be open to everyone from 8pm to 2am on all 10 days for an entry fee of Dh 5, with free entry for children under 5 years.

Food-collection drive

Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers has initiated a food-collection drive, ‘A Kilo of Kindness’, this Ramadan. The campaign involves seeking food donations from the public which will then be donated to the less fortunate.

Anybody can donate non-perishable food items by simply dropping supplies off at the hotel lobby during Ramadan until 30 June. Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers is supporting the local charity Beit Al Kheir, that will benefit from the donation.

Requested donation items include: canned food: tuna, soup, fruit, vegetables; dry food: rice, beans, oats, pasta, cereals, flour, powder milk, tea; non-glass packaged food: olive oil, canola oil, honey; baby food: milk formula, infant cereal; clothing; and school supplies.
